went to pjc open house today together with xinyu (who was most punctual), celest, daph, lan, xinyu, yeawen and olive (who were 30 MIN late!).
saw very few familiar faces - 3 nanhuarians, rebecca (an ex-nanhuarian cum ex-tuition mate) and another rebecca (my pri sch student care friend).
anw, at the bus stop, there was this usher dressed in blazer standing at the bus stop. poor thing, she had to stone there for the entire day, tolerating the heat, entertaining herself, and perhaps also preventing herself for falling asleep in standing position. haha.
when everyone arrived, we headed to the school compound and were welcomed by firstly, a member from eng drama club who 'flew' right in front of us, u noe promoting her cca, secondly, a few students distributing college bags, chasing us to fill in our lucky coupons and to head to the concourse area for performances, principal's address and lucky draw, and lastly, two ambassador club members (whose names if i can't recall) who took us on a campus tour.
anw, lan was so lucky to win an ipod nano.

through the tour, i've learnt the names of
the LIBRARY which is known as THE WINDOW,
the GO which is known as THE HELM,
the STAFFROOM which is known as THE PULSE,
the STAFF LOUNGE which is known as THE LIVING ROOM,
the COUNSEL ROOM is known as THE LOFT, and
the area where students can slack around which is known as THE PATIO.
interesting and meaningful eh.
and i also learned to appreciate nan hua sch compound more as we began to compare their school's facilities with ours in particular the toilets, the level of cleanliness and even the number like nan hua has 6 storeys X 6 toilets on each storey = 36 VS pj has in total 9 toilets. lol.
frankly, i dun find the sch's facilities really fantastic BUT i do feel that the people there are very nice, friendly and caring which I PERSONALLY THINK that is something special you can find in neighbourhood schools and which elite schools really lack.
anw, aft the campus tour, we left for lot one and had lunch at subway.
i thought the sandwich i had was pretty delicious(:
olive left and the rest of us went to celest's house and camped there until 3+ before heading home to practise my piano and to complete my theory.
then, ms soh sms-ed me that PIANO LESSON IS CANCELLED.
supposed to be feeling glad but instead i was feeling rather bad and regretful. if i guessed piano lesson will be cancelled tonight, i would have gone work ytd. in addition, i have to skip work tml (cj and aj open hse), on monday (release of results) and on tuesday (ac open hse). to assauge this unpleasant feeling, i think i better get cracking on the poster to be sent to her potential clients.
