back from aj's and cj's open hse.

pls kindly note that though a few comments here may be rather hurting, i have no intention of critising any sch or whatsoever. i apologise if it really is and blame it on my carelessness with my words.

aj first. frankly, i was pretty disappointed as the open hse didnt turn out as expected. perhaps, it is bcos of the impression that pj's open hse has left on me.

campus tour lacks proper planning and focus. i seriously think that it should focus more on introducing the sch's facilities and also some special features instead of bringing us around to visit the cca booths cos we need to know more about the school before we consider abt the sch as one of our choices. moreover, we choose the school first before choosing the cca. introducing the school should be prior to introducing the ccas. seeing that some may take a dim view of the issue, i suggest the tour to be like 50% of introducing school and 50% of introducing cca.

anw, through the tour, i got to see my dearest tpet seniors - dacia and daphne. when i learned that daphne joined the guitar ensemble, ya i was taken aback as i didnt know that she is also interested in guitars and also glad learning that there are no prerequistes to join (: nowadays, i have been rather in into guitars ya after being influenced by my bro. however, as i didnt take any formal lessons in music schools or online, i still dunno if im playing with the correct techniques (if there are, haha just like any band instrument) and if my skin at my fingertips are thick enough to withstand the pain of pressing down the strings of an acoustic guitar. so joining such a cca remains as an option for consideration.

currently, i have a few ccas in mind. i have eliminated band due to many factors.
1. guitar ensemble (if the school has one)
2. ODAC (sounds fun and i love adventurous activities!)
3. choir (it's still on the list)
4. cheerleading (im weak, heavy, fat, and short. dunno if i'll be recruited. but it's quite fun i think)

anw, after aj's open hse, we took mrt to toa payoh, lunched at macs and left for cj. it's only TWO stops away from a bus stop nearest to the mrt but the bus stops are super FAR AWAY fr each other. so dun even dream to walk there. it will take at least an hour i supposed. at cj, didnt go for e campus tour as the rest has alr done so cos celest, serene and i arrived a little later.

nvm. some nanhua seniors brought us around to visit the cca booths and i realised that ya the students there are pretty HIGH. students from many different ccas would like walk around promoting their cca in a pretty innovative and interesting way hm quite similar to the eng drama club member who 'flew' into our view at the gate at pj. the way some cca present themselves to us at their respective booths is something ya i wouldnt have thought of if i were one of them.

hm. there was this duo from astronomy club (not some culinay club) who went around distributing home-made choc+corn flake cookies. we met one group who asked us to take one and walked away without saying anything like 'we are from the astronomy club. do go and visit our booth at the canteen'. found it rather funny. perhaps their aim is to distribute all the cookies instead of promoting their ccas. (jkjk) or perhaps, they have forgotten at that instant.

then, at the choir booth, they have this dun forget the lyrics game. at the dance booth, they allowed peep to try dancing using the para para dance system. lol. watched the judo performance at the hall. pretty scary leh throwing peep, slamming peep down onto the ground. furthermore, the victim was thrown onto the mat with a thud so loud that it nearly scared me away. they even had audience participation.

anw, there arent many nanhuarians in cj. there are like only 6 from the 2007 sec 4 batch and only TWO from the previous cohort. hahas. going to cjc would be equivalent to what i've alr experienced, just like a bpps student going to nanhua. i hate that feeling.

after walking around in cj, took bus back to cck and i went to celest's hse to collect smth she had bought in korea. so nice of her(: didnt camp there and left shortly.

THREE MORE DAYS to release of results.

TWO MORE WEEKS to CNY!

THREE MORE WEEKS before holidays end.

some thoughts about this holiday. afraid that i may not have the time and (more significantly) the MOOD to talk about it after monday hahas.

though this holiday has not been as eventful as i initially thought it will, at the very least, i have done something meaningful which i should be proud of. yea.

1. i managed to persuade mummy to allow me to help out at my aunt's working place. though i dun receive any pay due to the financial difficulties my aunt's company is currently facing, i've got to experience how is it like working. i have to admit that it is very draining and at times, boring, but i've done everything i can do within my limits to ease my aunt's burden.

2. i love my malaysia trip.

3. i spent a lot of time and attention on my piano and my theory, something that was impossible for me to accomplish amidst the busy school life.

4. i've learnt a little bit of the guitar. i can play some chords now but still lots of work needs to be done in terms of strumming and holding the chords to produce a less buzzing sound.

5. i packed my study room within 5 days.

6. i completed TWO 1000 ONE THOUSAND!!!!!! piece puzzle :D

this is the first one. i think it's v beautiful.
Photobucket

the second one.
Photobucket
i completed this in THREE DAYS! (overwhelmed with satisfaction)
this was the tougher one. it's almost impossible to recognise which part of the picture is this piece a part of. the flowers is the craziest part. i completed most of it by u noe what guess-and-check instead of the usual way. i still have 3 boxes of 1000 piece puzzle which are far worse than this to go. wish me luck!

yupp that's all i have today. a very long post i realise. hahas. byebye!
