Today is the 1st of JUNE. JUNE?!

FIVE FULL MONTHS HAS FLOWN BY. SIX MORE MONTHS TO GO. It's bad as it means i have less time to repair my languages which are in a disastrous state right now. It's good as it also means that the misery, stress, deprivation of a life would come to an end more quickly.

Yesterday, 31 MAY 2008, nhsb had its 2nd Band Investiture. To be very frank, what's unbearable for me is actually only leaving the trumpet section which i have felt so strongly bonded these years. I will value all the memories we shared.

Here's a short recount of the investiture. The programme started 1.5h LATE. It was a bad start. The programmes were similar to that of last year's but it ended more promptly as the roles of the respective posts werent announced.

MY OFFICIAL trumpet SL! XINTING!
MY OFFICIAL trumpet ASL! KATHRYN!
MY OFFICIAL treasurer! KATHRYN!

I am so proud of them.

Having taken an official section photo, we (trumpeters) remained in the band room while everyone hastily made a beeline for the reception at the canteen. I have yet to receive the photos from xinting ): I presented my handover gifts to my dearest dearest juniors while the section gave jenn and I A SECTION TEE and A BOOKLET of photos. It's super sweet and lovely of them! Then, before we headed to the canteen for the reception, I requested (almost to the extent of imploring) to take a final section photo (exclusively the merman poses) outside the band room at the spot where we took our section(2007) photo with weisiang posing as merman last year and after a long while, we finally had it taken! :D

After the reception, i settled some band stuff and headed home in my section tee!

Elated? Downhearted? No words could exactly express my feelings at that moment of time when i spent my last few moments with my fellow sectionmates who have gone through so much together with me as a section. I WILL MISS U PPL! It's u ppl who created fond memories which i am going to take away and along with me as i continue walking forward on this infinitely long journey ahead. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I'm afraid if i carry on, i would pour all my thoughts and emotions out. Hence, i have to stop here for investiture. THE END-

hahas. anyway, it has been sometime since i have last used the com. well, my mum has kept the mouse away during the weekdays and will only allow us to use the com during the night when she reaches home. Being nice, i gave in to my bro's intense desire to use the com to play some meaningless online game in which u kill ppl, gain ONLY experience points and level up.

Last friday, my cousin's family from kulai, johore, together with my ahma, came to spore and decided to stay overnight at my house for two nights. So, in total, there were 1 elderly, 4 adults, 2 teens and 3 children staying in a 4-room condo. Due to insufficient beds and mattresses, i had to end up sleeping in my sleeping bag for 2 nights. The uncomfort of sleeping on the hard timber floor has made me realise how fortunate i have been to be able to sleep comfortably on a bed. This morning, the family has left singapore in order to make it on time for a suduku competition back in JB. lol.

They should have extend their trip here. There are certainly many many many tourist attractions that they will enjoy.

Yesterday, my father accompanied them to the science centre where they spent their whole afternoon there and was reluctant to leave. I couldnt join them as i had to attend the band's investiture in the morning ): Yanteng raved on and on about a 3D (or issit 4D?) video about the Grand Canyon adventure in which one will feel as though he is really travelling on a ship on the Grand Canyon. I didnt know Science Centre has such an attraction and when i scanned through the map of the Science Centre which my dad had brought back, my reaction was like whoa! i didnt noe that science centre has changed so much! it looks so cool and interesting now. There was even a waterpark which i didnt hear of it before.

Haha. perhaps it is because i didnt know how to appreciate what's in store in the science centre when i visited it in the past at an age of around 9. After their visit, we headed to WESTLAKE to have our dinner. NICE FOOD. NICE AMBIENCE. NICE WAITRESSES. However, when the bill came, i gave a short stare at the figures while my mum settled the bill. That was bad. What's worse was the trip to the washroom. On my first trip, i thought the door of the only cubicle was closed but left unlocked. Hence, i tried pushing it and all of a sudden, the person in there shouted 'OI!' which made me so pissed and i ran out. what an experience!

That's all i have to write about. byebye(:
