A short recount of my weekend.

SATURDAY!
I didnt plan any fantastic activity for the day as i was totally not in the mood to do so. I spent the entire morning and afternoon doing rountine tasks like practising piano and planning. At 1630, i left home for a CIP library session at CCKCL together with celest and her tuition friend.

This is my second CIP session doing housekeeping for this year and my shelving skills have been really rusty. I VOLUNTEERED doing the children session and it was worse than a (BOLD+ITALICS+UNDERLINED) NIGHTMARE.

To begin with, the librarian assigned me the task of MERELY straightening the books and ensuring that books are placed in their correct respective shelves. It didnt turn out to be as easy and relaxing as it seemed to be at the beginning. After straightening the a particular row of shelves, the next minute when i turned my back, the books are messy all again! After 1.5h, the librarian told me to shelve Chinese books for the children section and i thought this would finally mark the end of my nightmare.

Optimistic that shelving Chinese books would be less draining, i collected J chinese fiction, J non-fiction, JP fiction and JP non-fiction books and headed to the Chinese section. I wasnt much relieved upon the sight of the current state of shelves of Chinese books which was equally as horrible as that of the English fiction. I returned and shelved the books. What really pissed me off was that while i was not standing at the trolley of books, there were some children, together with their parents, browsing through the books which i took sometime arranging it according to alphabetical or numerical order so as to ease my job of shelving. They were not only browsing through ONE book. They were literally messying the books up. Unhappy with the books, they just put them aside and some even dumped their unwanted books on my trolley. Overwhelmed by tiredness, i didnt bother to kindly remind them not to do so. Furthermore, most of the JP Chinese books are so thin that i couldnt read the numbers or alphabets clearly.

Fortunately, as the books on the shelves themselves are already messed up (not arranged accordingly), i just had to returned books back to its respective shelf and straightened the books. Besides, there was a girl (perhaps from china as she spoke heavily accented chinese) who helped me with the straightening of the books. I thanked her and before the clock strucked 8, i returned back to the admin office, drained. I met up with celest and her friend and upon signing out, we had our dinner at pastamania after a considerably long discussion. It was then i realised how fussy i have been when it comes to choosing a place to dine in.

After a trip to Popular, my dad drove me back home. While watching the taiwan variety show, i fell asleep.

SUNDAY!
I HAVE TO SAY THAT TODAY IS A GREAT DAY. Out of the blue, i feel so motivated to study.

In the morning, my family, together with my aunt, paid a visit at the old folk's home far far away at upper east coast where my grandaunt is current staying at. There was this ahma a few beds away from my grandaunt's calling non-stop for anyone who glanced at her to switch off the ceiling fan. My dad told me not to bother about her request as she was like that during his previous visit and the nurses told him not to care about it. Although my dad helped her to cover herself with a blanket, she sat up again and told my dad to switch off the fan. lol. This is the first time i felt so close to my grandaunt. She looked so pink in health though she is already 82 yrs-old. I was glad that she still had the appetite to eat. My mum bought two boxes of ang-ku-kueh to distribute around but my grandaunt who have a craving for ang-ku-kueh said that she could finish them all by herself. whoa!

After 1.5h or so, we bade farewell and had vegetarian food at a temple. I was reminded of a similar scene in Wars of In-Laws and shivered at the thought of it. Then, i rushed home to complete practising my piano and the english tuition vocab sharing homework. I purposely arrived at the tuition centre 10 minutes late as usually by then, the other 2 tuitionmates would be present too. As i have said, the class is really small with only 3 students. Unexpectedly, i am the only one present and right till now, i still can not think out of a reasonable reason why the 2 of them didnt attend lesson today.

As it was quite meaningless teaching what has been planned, i did a guided compre practice and i have to say that it was quite fruitful.

I went for piano lesson, had my dinner at fajar and headed home to watch the sichuan charity concert show.

Holidays have started officially. (it had long started unofficially straight after midyears)
The 2nd band official investiture is approaching.
I am starting to hear the footsteps of prelims and olevel exams.
